Should you purchase Nintendo DSi Or Sony PSP? Of course Satoru Iwata would like for you to buy Nintendo DSi and Kaz Hirai would like for you to buy the Sony PSP. And so starts the war of the handhelds, which stretches through the year 2009 with the release of the Nintendo DSi and rumors of the release of the Sony PSP2 (the PSP Go).

Iwata, naturally, is the president of Nintendo, and Hirai is the manager of Sony Entertainment. So, as a gamer, what trail should you take? Should you buy Nintendo DSi as Iwata would like you to do? Or should you get the Sony PSP instead, as Hirai wants?

To Buy Or Not To Buy Nintendo DSi? Many think that though the Nintendo DSi doesn’t have the processing power and the graphics-capabilities of the Sony PSP, it remains the wiser choice. These supporters think you should buy Nintendo DSi for the following reasons:

*Deeper game library. Nintendo DSi games significantly outnumber their Sony PSP opposite numbers. –

*First party support. Nintendo is legendary for the standard of its first party games. Franchises like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Punch Out, and others can be found only in Nintendo consoles. The proportion of first party applications for the Nintendo DSi compared to the Sony PSP is a huge 8:1.

For many of us, this is the clincher why we’d decide to buy Nintendo Dsi instead. Having the ability to engage with the lower screen of the Nintendo DSi opens up an arena of exciting gaming chances that the Sony PSP can’t even start to explore.

*Twin cam. Though no applications, save for the built in photograph manipulation software, has yet been released that uses the Nintendo DSi’s twin cam, the superb probabilities are however exciting. The Nintendo DSi can really be a portable video conferencing machine with the presence of these 0.3 megapixel cameras.

But what about the Sony PSP? The Sony PSP isn’t bad either. It offers of the following features: *Wider screen for richer visuals.

*Faster processing power for better game play and better graphics.

*Bigger software sizes for bigger features and better graphics.

*More multimedia functions straight from the box.

*Friendlier infrastructure to push homebrew projects.

*Backward compatibility with PSOne games.

* Interconnectivity with the PS3. The Sony PS3 can really be remotely controlled thru the Sony PSP.

So? Which To Choose? Buy Nintendo Dsi? Or Buy Sony PSP? Let’s admit it games outline the consoles, even transportable ones. Remember the Sega Dreamcast? It had been a superb game system that might even compete with today’s generation of consoles. But due to a limited software library, it suffered poor sales and Sega had to give up with console producing altogether.

The Nintendo DSi has more games…so much more that its games library dwarfs that of the Sony PSP’s. So, buy Nintendo DSi or buy Sony PSP?

For the moment, the Nintendo DSi is the clear choice.
